Title: "Identity V & Frieren: Beyond Journey's End – Crossover Event" (A fusion of the psychological horror survival game Identity V and the emotional, fantasy epic Frieren: Beyond Journey's End) Overview In a mysterious convergence of worlds, the ethereal realm of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End—where time, memory, and loss linger like fading echoes—collides with the dark, gothic world of Identity V, where tragedy and fate are bound in a twisted game of survival. This crossover event blends the introspective melancholy of Frieren’s journey with the tense psychological horror of Identity V, creating a haunting narrative experience across both games. Crossover Event: "Echoes of the Forgotten" Setting: The world of Identity V—a fog-drenched, surreal version of a late 19th-century European city—has been warped by a forgotten magic. The sky is fractured, clocks tick backward, and time slips between moments. Players now find themselves not just trapped in the Manor, but in a liminal space where memories are real, and the past bleeds into the present. Frieren, the elven mage, has arrived—though not by choice. After the completion of her journey, she felt a pull to a world where time behaves differently. She finds herself in a place that echoes her own: a world where people move through time not as a river, but as a maze. New Characters: Frieren (Playable Survivor – "The Eternal Wanderer") Role: Support/Stealth Abilities: Memory Weave (Passive): For every 10 seconds spent in stealth, Frieren gains a "Memory Shard." These shards can be used to briefly slow a Hunter's movement, reveal hidden traps, or unlock doors. Echo of the Past (Ultimate): For 10 seconds, Frieren reverts a Hunter’s last action (e.g., undoing a trap setup, reversing a chase). This ability has a long cooldown and cannot be used while under attack. Timeless Gaze (Passive): Frieren can see the path a Hunter has taken in the past 30 seconds, allowing her to anticipate movement. Story: Frieren has not come to escape. She has come to understand. In this world of endless trials and forgotten faces, she recognizes the weight of time—and how it shapes not just lives, but tragedies. She is not here to win. She is here to remember. The Hunter – "The Lamenting Bard" (New Hunter – Based on Eiz, the Composer) Inspiration: Eiz, the mysterious composer from Frieren, who once played music that could alter fate and memory. Appearance: A gaunt man in a long black coat, his face obscured by a mask shaped like a violin. His hands are wrapped in spectral strings. Abilities: Echo of the Melody: The Bard emits a haunting tune that causes Survivors to briefly lose control of their movement (e.g., stumbling, turning the wrong way) in a radius. Memory of the Lost: When the Bard kills a Survivor, their final moment is replayed in slow motion across the map—showing a fleeting memory (e.g., a childhood moment, a farewell). Final Symphony (Ultimate): The Bard plays a final, devastating aria. All Survivors within range are immobilized and hear a distorted version of Frieren’s theme music. The Bard can then select one to “end” in a cinematic kill. Narrative Role: The Bard is not evil—he is grief made manifest. He was once a composer who tried to preserve the last moments of a dying world. His music turned people into echoes, trapped in endless loops. He believes he is “saving” the past by making it eternal—even if it means trapping souls. New Map: "The Forgotten Concert Hall" A grand, crumbling theater where time is fractured. Clocks float in midair, faceless figures walk in reverse, and music plays from empty instruments. Hidden rooms contain memories from Frieren’s journey—e.g., the forest where her companions fell, the village she passed through decades ago. The map shifts every 3 minutes, altering exits and trap placements—reflecting the instability of time. New Game Mode: "The Longing" Objective: Survivors must find and activate three "Memory Orbs" scattered across the map. Each orb reveals a piece of Frieren’s past—her journey, her friends, her sorrow. If all three orbs are activated, Frieren gains a powerful ability: Eternal Understanding, which allows her to see the Hunter’s next 3 moves. The Bard, however, gains strength every time a memory is triggered—his abilities grow more intense, and he becomes faster. Thematic Unity: Time, Memory, and Letting Go Identity V is known for its psychological depth and emotional scars. Frieren explores the pain of living long after everyone you loved has passed. Together, they form a story about the burden of time, the danger of clinging, and the beauty of release. When Frieren finally faces the Bard—her voice calm, her eyes weary—she says: "You tried to hold on to everything... but time is not a chain. It is a river. And even the greatest memories... must drift away." Crossover Rewards (Available in Both Games): Frieren’s Cloak (Cosmetic for Survivors) – A pale blue, worn cloak with faint runes glowing in the dark. The Bard’s Mask (Cosmetic for Hunters) – A haunting violin-shaped mask with glowing strings. "Echo of the Past" Theme (Background Music) – A melancholic orchestral piece blending Identity V’s score with Frieren’s original theme. Final Message: "In this game of fate, not all memories are meant to be preserved. Some must fade—so that new ones may begin." Event Duration: 4 Weeks Platforms: PC, Mobile, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S Status: Official Crossover Event – Limited-Time ✦ "She walked through centuries. Now she walks through fear. But still, she remembers how to keep going." — Frieren: Beyond Journey's End x Identity V – "Echoes of the Forgotten" Would you like concept art descriptions, dialogue scripts, or a full event story mission script next?
