Hez2: A Popular Moroccan Card Game
Hez2 is a classic Moroccan card game perfect for family gatherings. This turn-based game supports up to four players, offering engaging gameplay for solo, two-player, or three-player matches. The objective is simple: be the first to get rid of all your cards.
Gameplay involves matching either the suit or rank of the previously played card. If a player has no matching card, they must draw one from the deck. Even with a playable card, a player can choose to draw instead.
Special Cards:
-
2: When a 2 is played, the next player must draw two cards. If they also hold a 2, they can choose to draw two or play it, forcing the following player to draw four, and so on, until a player without a 2 draws the cumulative total.
-
7: The player who plays a 7 can change the required suit/color for the next card played.
-
10: Playing a 10 forces the player to take another turn. If the 10 is their last card, they must draw a card.
-
12: (Not applicable in two-player games) In three- or four-player games, playing a 12 skips the next player's turn.
The game concludes when a player plays their final card (with special rules applying if the last card is a 2 or 10), and that player is declared the winner.
Hez2 uses a 40-card deck with four suits:
- 10 Copas (Tbaye9)
- 10 Espadas (Syouf)
- 10 Oros (D'hab)
- 10 Bastos (Zrawéte)
Each suit contains cards numbered 1-7 and 10-12.
Hez2 is fun for everyone! Enjoy the game!
