The key to successfully hunting AI in Ecos La Brea is stealth. To begin tracking an AI, utilize your sense of smell by pressing the scent button. If there are any AI animals nearby, you'll see their icons appear. To enhance your stealth approach, crouch to reveal a meter that monitors your stealth level.

This meter is crucial as it shows how close you are to spooking the AI, filling up as you move. Once the meter is fully filled, the AI will bolt, making it much harder to catch.

Consider the speed of your movements carefully. Sprinting will cause the meter to fill up almost immediately, while running has a significant impact as well. Trotting fills the meter more slowly, but walking is the slowest and should be your preferred method as you close in on your target.

The direction of your approach is also critical. Approaching downwind will cause the AI to detect you faster, whereas crosswind offers a middle ground. The ideal direction is upwind, as it minimizes your chances of being detected early.

Lastly, pay attention to the AI's behavior. You'll notice a question mark occasionally appearing above the animal icon. If you're moving when this question mark is visible, the meter will fill up more quickly. To maintain your stealth, stop moving until the question mark disappears.

Even with perfect stealth, the meter will eventually fill up, causing the AI to run. Be ready to toggle Sprint to chase it down. The AI's movement can be erratic, so it may take some practice to predict its path. I recommend hunting in open fields where there are fewer obstacles to obscure your view.

To capture the AI, you must get very close to bite down on your prey. Once you've caught it, drop it to the ground and then eat it. Continue this cycle of hunting until you're satisfied.
