How to Find the Cat Island in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

To reach the cat island, you'll need to navigate to the Omi region, which becomes accessible around the midpoint of the game's story. Ensure your characters are well-equipped and ready for the challenges ahead. Head northeast to reach Omi.

Your destination is Lake Biwa, a prominent body of water in the center of the Omi region. It's advisable to find a boat in nearby settlements like Azuchi or Omizo, though swimming across is also an option.

Your target is the larger island in the middle of Lake Biwa, located just northwest of Azuchi. Once you arrive, you'll discover Okishima Island, which features a Kakurega where you can rest. You'll notice plenty of fish drying near the docks, hinting at the presence of certain animals.

To immerse yourself in the feline paradise on Okishima, head north towards the Leap of Faith. As you ascend, you'll encounter more and more cats. Don't forget to pet them to add them to your collection for use in the Hideout, especially the elusive rare kittens that are hard to find elsewhere.

While most Leaps of Faith unlock new map locations, the true treasure on Okishima is the company of your new feline friends. After exploring and completing the Leap of Faith, there's little else to do but enjoy the cats' presence. You'll return to Okishima later in Yasuke's story, so keep that in mind for future visits.
