Cristiano Ronaldo, widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time alongside Lionel Messi, is making a surprising leap into the world of fighting games. He will be a playable character in the upcoming game Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, marking one of the most unexpected guest appearances in recent gaming history.

As part of the launch roster, Ronaldo's inclusion was unveiled by developer and publisher SNK Corporation through a trailer that showcases his integration into the game's comic-inspired art style. Ronaldo brings his football prowess to the fight, with moves like "Headed Clearance" and a slide tackle. Fans will also recognize his iconic 'Siuuu' celebration, though Ronaldo himself did not provide the voice; instead, voice actor Juan Felipe Sierra lends his talents to the character.

Here's the official description of Ronaldo's character:

One of the top football players in the world. He uses his time off to visit South Town to hone his new football skills. The various techniques he has developed playing football make him an unstoppable force, even to seasoned fighters.

Currently, the 40-year-old Ronaldo plays as a forward for Al Nassr FC, a club based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, competing in the Saudi Pro League. The team is majority-owned by the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund (PIF), chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Interestingly, SNK Corporation is now almost entirely owned by the Saudi crown prince's foundation, adding another layer of connection between Ronaldo and the game.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is set to launch on April 24, 2025, promising a dynamic art style, a mix of new and familiar fighters, and updated battle systems that will bring fresh excitement to the franchise.
