Paradox Interactive has unveiled an exciting roadmap for Crusader Kings III's upcoming content in 2025, dubbed Chapter IV. This chapter focuses on expanding the game's horizons into Asia, introducing new mechanics and regions for players to delve into.
The chapter begins with the release of the cosmetic DLC, Crowns of the World. This stylish pack, although small, enriches player customization with six crowns, four hairstyles, and two beards, allowing for more personalized ruler appearances.
On April 28, the first major DLC, Khans of the Steppe, will launch, enabling players to take command of the Mongols. As the Great Khan, you'll lead a nomadic horde, conquering lands and establishing dominance over neighboring territories, adding a thrilling layer of strategy and expansion to the game.
Next up, the Coronations DLC will introduce a new ceremonial mechanic, allowing players to legitimize their reign through grand coronation events. These ceremonies will involve hosting extravagant festivities, making solemn vows, and deciding the path of your kingdom. Alongside this, new advisor and vassal events will enhance political interactions, set to release in Q3 (July–September), adding depth to royal succession dynamics.
The chapter will culminate with the release of All Under Heaven, a massive expansion arriving later in the year. This expansion will feature the entire East Asian map, with detailed depictions of China, Korea, Japan, and the Indonesian islands, offering vast new territories for players to explore and conquer.
In addition to these major releases, Paradox Interactive plans to issue patches throughout the year to refine game systems and improve AI behavior. The developers are keen on incorporating player feedback and will host the next Q&A session on March 26, encouraging the community to shape future updates.
