The announcement included a stunning CG trailer introducing Noah, the protagonist battling encroaching madness, the submerged city of R'lyeh, and the terrifying Cthulhu himself.
The year is 2053. Deep-sea mining corporations unwittingly awaken an ancient cosmic horror. Players take on the role of Noah, an Interpol agent specializing in occult affairs, investigating the disappearance of miners in the Pacific. Aided by Key, his AI companion, players will explore the secrets of the sunken city of R'lyeh, solve challenging puzzles, and fight to preserve their sanity amidst Cthulhu's insidious influence.
Developed using Unreal Engine 5, the game promises breathtaking, reality-warping environments that create a truly immersive and unsettling atmosphere. The recently released trailer hints at a gripping and suspenseful adventure. Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss is slated for release in 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
