Destiny 2 Bug Frustrates Reputation Gains

Destiny 2 Warlock Players Encounter Another Reputation Bug

Destiny 2 players, particularly Warlocks, are facing another frustrating reputation gain bug following the Grandmaster Nightfall launch. While the game has enjoyed a positive period with new content like "Into the Light" and "The Final Shape," a recent surge in bugs has dampened the experience. Bungie actively addresses these issues, but new ones seemingly appear with each weekly reset.

Recent bugs have ranged from granting free rewards for AFK Crucible participation to providing unlimited Paracausal Shots with the Hawkmoon exotic. Warlocks have been disproportionately affected, previously experiencing a Gambit reputation bug that hindered their XP gains compared to Titans and Hunters. This issue, unfortunately, appears to extend beyond Gambit.

The June 25th weekly reset brought back Grandmaster Nightfalls with increased rewards and a Vanguard reputation boost. However, Warlocks are again reporting significantly lower XP gains than other classes during these boosted events.

Warlock Reputation Remains Flawed

The community has highlighted the inconsistent Vanguard reputation XP, noting Warlocks receive less XP from ritual activities. Many players were initially unaware of the discrepancy, only noticing the slower progression. Surprisingly, this bug may have persisted for several months without official acknowledgment from Bungie. Awareness increased last week when players noticed the disparity in Gambit XP gains.

Currently, players can only raise awareness and hope Bungie addresses the problem. The studio is actively working on various other issues, as evidenced by Update 8.0.0.5, which included Ritual Pathfinder adjustments and the removal of Elemental surges from Dungeons and Raids. However, this persistent Warlock reputation bug remains unresolved.
