The Division 2's New Season: Burden of Truth Revealed

Tom Clancy's The Division 2 has now embarked on its third season of year six, named "Burden of Truth." This season takes agents on a thrilling journey through Washington, D.C., as they follow cryptic clues to find Kelso. Along this adventure, players will uncover deeper insights into Lau's recruitment process and the mysterious "Cassandra" mission, enriching the game's narrative.

A highlight of this season is the innovative Rogue Momentum system, which revolutionizes combat by incentivizing aggressive playstyles. Players can accumulate momentum by defeating enemies and completing various combat challenges. While regular kills provide a small boost, critical hits, skill combinations, multi-kills, and taking down elite foes significantly increase the momentum meter. As players build up their momentum, they gain access to enhanced abilities such as increased movement speed, faster reloads, amplified damage output, and heightened firing rates. When reaching the pinnacle of momentum, the Overcharge feature activates, dramatically reducing ability cooldowns.

Alongside these dynamic combat changes, "Burden of Truth" introduces new weapons and gear. Players who own the Warlords of New York DLC and the Year 1 Pass will benefit from an expanded inventory, gaining 50 additional slots. Among the new items are the exotic SMG Oxpecker and the tactical Exodus gloves. The season also welcomes two new brands, Refactor and Shiny Monkey, offering innovative gear options. Additionally, named weapons like the Rusty Classic RPK-74 and Goalie FAL come with unique talents that allow players to fine-tune their builds. These exciting additions are available across all platforms, and Ubisoft is keen to gather player feedback to enhance future updates.
