The announcement ends months of speculation. This mobile iteration follows the game's tumultuous history. Initially released in 2012 to widespread criticism, Final Fantasy XIV was dramatically overhauled with "A Realm Reborn," transforming it into a critically acclaimed MMORPG.

The mobile version promises a substantial amount of content at launch, including nine playable jobs and the return of popular minigames like Triple Triad. Players can seamlessly switch between jobs using the Armoury system.
