Rifts. The word itself usually spells trouble in the gaming world. But Avid Games has not only embraced the chaos of rifts, they've built an entire game around it: Eerie Worlds, the highly anticipated follow-up to the charming tactical CCG, Cards, the Universe and Everything. This time, the focus shifts to monsters—monsters emerging from those very rifts.
Avid Games has crafted a visually stunning array of monsters, each inspired by real-life horrors from mythologies and folklore worldwide.

Prepare to encounter Japanese Yokai like Jikininki and Kuchisake, Slavic creatures such as Vodyanoy and Psoglav, and a host of other terrifying beings from Bigfoot and Mothman to the Nandi Bear and El Chupacabra. Each card boasts a detailed, well-researched description, making gameplay both entertaining and educational.
Eerie Worlds features four Alliances (Grimbald, Zerrofel, Rivin, and Synnig) and multiple Hordes, creating complex tactical depth. Monsters might share certain properties within a Horde, but not others, leading to strategic gameplay.
Your personal monster collection, the Grimoire, is upgraded by merging duplicate cards. Starting with 160 basic cards, merging unlocks many more, with additional cards planned for the near future.

Avid Games promises two more Hordes in the coming months, ensuring Eerie Worlds remains a constantly evolving challenge. Gameplay involves building a deck of nine monster cards and one world card, battling in nine 30-second turns filled with strategic decisions about mana, synergies, and more.
