Google Play Store to Auto-Launch Apps Soon

Have you ever downloaded a new app and then completely forgotten to open it? While I personally haven't, many users might find this a common occurrence. Fortunately, Google Play Store seems to have devised a solution to this issue. Reports suggest that an upcoming feature in the Google Play Store will enable apps to auto-launch immediately after installation.

What’s The Scoop?

According to Android Authority, Google Play Store is developing a feature that could streamline your app experience. This innovative feature would automatically open apps as soon as they finish downloading, eliminating the need to search for the app icon or confirm if the download completed. The app will instantly appear on your screen, ready for use.

While this feature is still in the rumor stage, it was discovered through an APK teardown of Play Store version 41.4.19. It hasn't been officially announced, and there's no confirmed release date yet. However, if it becomes a reality, it will be known as App Auto Open. The best part? It will be optional, allowing you to toggle it on or off based on your preference for auto-launching newly installed apps from the Google Play Store.

The functionality is straightforward. Once an app download completes, a notification banner will appear at the top of your screen for approximately 5 seconds. Depending on your phone's settings, it might also ring or vibrate, ensuring you don't miss the notification, even if you're engrossed in an Instagram reel or a mobile game raid.

Keep in mind, this information remains unofficial, and we're still awaiting an exact release date from Google. Rest assured, we'll keep you updated as soon as we have more details.
