Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 8: A Deep Dive into New Features

Hearthstone's Season 8 has arrived, bringing exciting updates to Battlegrounds! This season introduces new heroes, minions, cards, and game-changing Trinkets, alongside significant balance changes for seasoned players.

Trinkets: The New Power-Ups

Prepare for a wave of Trinkets! Season 8 introduces 56 Lesser Trinkets and 60 Greater Trinkets, many of which can be acquired multiple times. These powerful items are available on turns 6 and 9, offering four choices each time. Trinket options are dynamically influenced by your hero and current board composition, ensuring a variety of strategic options for all play styles (Elementals, Dragons, Murlocs, etc.).

Marin the Manager: The New Hero

Meet Marin the Manager, the newest Battlegrounds hero! Marin's unique ability allows you to obtain a Trinket one turn earlier than usual, providing a significant advantage.

Minions and Spells: A Roster Revamp

Season 8 sees a rotation of minions: 41 minions are leaving, while 22 fan favorites return, joined by 27 brand-new minions and 2 exciting Tavern spells.

Four notable new cards include:

• Free Travel Winner (Tier 2): A 2/2 minion that disappears after combat, rewarding you with a Triple Reward.
• Inspiring Underdog (Tier 4): Buff your lower-tier minions.
• Lucky Egg (Tier 5): Transform a Tier 3 minion into a Golden minion.
• Sun Screener (Tier 6): A 10/1 minion granting Divine Shield to your three leftmost minions and your opponent's.

Marin Resort's Treasure Hunt Event

From August 27th to September 17th, participate in the Marin Resort's Treasure Hunt event! Complete event quests to earn a total of 14 card packs, including packs from the Perils in Paradise and Whizbang's Workshop expansions.
