Insomniac Games almost gave us Resistance 4. While a pitch was made and the concept was strong, according to Insomniac founder and retiring president Ted Price, the timing and market opportunity weren't right. In a recent interview with Kinda Funny Games, Price revealed this unmade game as a personal favorite, expressing the team's passion for continuing the series' unique alternate history and exploring the Chimera's origins.

The Resistance series, a trilogy of first-person shooters developed by Insomniac for the PlayStation 3, depicts an alternate 1951 where aliens invade the UK. Following the success of the Ratchet & Clank games, Insomniac created this compelling world before moving on to other projects like Marvel's Spider-Man and new Ratchet & Clank titles.

Price recently announced his retirement from Insomniac Games after a 30-year tenure, handing the reins over to Co-Studio Heads Chad Dezern, Ryan Schneider, and Jen Huang. Insomniac's latest release, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, recently launched on PC, with Marvel's Wolverine next in line.
