Marvel has unveiled the first trailer for "Ironheart," the eagerly awaited MCU series set to premiere on Disney+. Dominique Thorne returns as Riri Williams, the armored superhero first introduced in "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" in 2022, alongside Anthony Ramos, who plays Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood. The trailer offers a tantalizing glimpse into the series, showcasing Riri's evolution into a standalone superhero after her initial supporting role in the MCU.
Parker Robbins/The Hood initially appears as a mentor figure to Riri, helping her unlock her true potential. Yet, the trailer hints at a deeper, more complex character beneath the surface."Ironheart," executive produced by Ryan Coogler, is set to launch with a three-episode premiere on June 24 at 6pm PT/9pm ET, exclusively on Disney+. Riri reflects on her Wakanda experience as an "internship abroad," but her journey takes a turn when she's expelled from MIT, prompting The Hood to challenge her with a pivotal question: "Anyone who has accomplished anything has to do questionable things. Are you in or out?"
The trailer showcases thrilling action sequences, with Riri suiting up as Ironheart, soaring through the skies, and engaging in combat. In one dramatic scene, she grounds herself to punch a truck, sending it flying over her head.
