In Limbus Company, the level of your Sinners is crucial for determining their combat effectiveness. As with other RPGs, players must focus on leveling up their teams to progress and tackle challenging content. Even the most powerful Sinner Identities won't stand a chance against formidable foes if they are underleveled. For newcomers to the game, here's a concise guide on the best ways to earn XP for your characters.

With the anticipation of games like Ananta and Neverness To Everness, there's a growing desire for a stylish anime game that isn't gacha-based. While HoYoVerse games satisfy the gacha craving, a triple-A experience similar to these, but free from RNG monetization, would be a welcome addition to the gaming scene.

Combat and Grinding --------------------

For new players, the primary method of earning XP is through combat. All Sinners on your team gain XP after successfully clearing a combat encounter, regardless of their participation. However, characters who actively fought will receive more XP than those who did not. This method, typical of many free-to-play gacha games, can be slow, especially as battles become tougher. To level up more efficiently, players need to explore alternative methods.

Upon reaching the midpoint of Canto 2, you'll unlock the Luxcavation mode. This mode allows you to challenge specific enemies and earn various rewards. While the fights provide a decent amount of XP, the real value lies in the consumable items you can obtain, which are excellent for leveling up your Sinners.

Using Consumable Items

If grinding XP manually isn't your preferred method, you can use Level Boost Tickets and Identity Training Tickets to level up your Sinners' Identities. These consumables are designed specifically for character leveling and come in various rarities.

Identity Training Tickets

Identity Training Tickets provide a flat amount of XP to an Identity, serving as level-up materials similar to those in other gacha games like Honkai Star Rail or Genshin Impact. They significantly reduce the XP grind, but you'll need a substantial number to fully max out a character. These tickets are available in four tiers, each offering progressively more XP:

  • Identity Training Ticket I: 50 Identity XP
  • Identity Training Ticket II: 200 Identity XP
  • Identity Training Ticket III: 1000 Identity XP
  • Identity Training Ticket IV: 3000 Identity XP

You can primarily obtain these tickets by farming the EXP Luxcavation stages. They are also available through the free and paid Limbus Passes, as well as periodic attendance check events.

Level Boost Tickets

Level Boost Tickets instantly elevate your Sinners' Identities to a specific level, bypassing the need for XP. These are highly valuable due to their shortcut nature but are correspondingly rarer. They are mainly obtained through the Limbus Pass, with occasional availability during attendance check events. Unlike training tickets, these cannot be farmed. The different Level Boost Tickets will raise your characters to the following levels:

  • Level Boost Ticket I: Level 10
  • Level Boost Ticket II: Level 20
  • Level Boost Ticket III: Level 30
  • Level Boost Ticket IV: Level 40

As of now, Identities can reach a maximum level of 50. It's advisable to balance the use of Level Boost Tickets and Identity Training Tickets if you're looking to level up multiple characters simultaneously.

To use these consumables, navigate to the Sinners menu and long-press the portrait of the character you wish to level up.
