Solo developer Jo Drolet has unveiled the highly anticipated release of Lhea and the Word Spirit, an enthralling single-player roguelite. In this game, you'll take on the role of a guide, leading lost souls through enigmatic worlds to seal the ominous In-Between. Accompanied by an ancient Word Spirit, you'll navigate the delicate balance between life and death, all set against a backdrop of minimalist visuals and a unique "timeline battle system."

In Lhea and the Word Spirit, players can manipulate the timeline of battles to advance, utilizing a variety of enchanted rings that can be equipped and upgraded. These rings not only grant different spells but also unlock hidden secrets that help unravel the mysteries of the In-Between. The roguelite format ensures that every playthrough is unique, with procedurally generated realms demanding different strategies on each run.

“I wanted to create this charming minimalistic world about life and death with the hope that players lose track of time and feel enspirited by this dance between unexpected discoveries, strategy flow, and heartwarming music,” says Jo Drolet.

Lhea and the Word Spirit is slated for a full release in August. However, eager fans can get a taste of the game earlier through a demo available during Steam Next Fest, running from June 9th to June 16th.
