Navigating the Garbage Zone in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl

After exiting the Lesser Zone, your journey continues into the sprawling Garbage area. Due to the distance from your starting base, encountering traders in this region will take time.

Slag Heap traders in Stalker 2 Garbage area.

Initially, your quest markers won't directly lead you to the Slag Heap hub. Progressing the main storyline is necessary to officially access it. Completing the "Answers Come at a Price" quest unlocks the Slag Heap location, after visiting the Detention Center and Laboratory, and meeting Scar.

However, you can explore the Slag Heap, located north of the laboratory, earlier. This hub features two key traders:

Boozer: Found at the entrance, Boozer runs the bar, selling food and drinks while accepting a wide variety of trade goods. He's easily spotted.
Huron: Located to the left and through an open door on your right, Huron specializes in weapons and gear. His room also serves as your stash, and interacting with him initiates a side quest.

While not a trader, a Tech resides at the back of the left corridor. You'll encounter him while progressing the main quest, as a conversation with Diode is required.
