Madden NFL 26 Sets Release Date, Comes to Nintendo Switch 2, Skips PS4 and Xbox One

Electronic Arts has officially unveiled the launch date for the latest installment in the Madden NFL series, marking a significant transition to the latest generation of gaming consoles.

Set to release on August 14, 2025, Madden NFL 26 will offer a three-day early access window for those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition, beginning on August 11. This upcoming addition to the pro football gaming franchise will be accessible on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, PC through the EA app for Windows, Steam, and Epic, as well as on the new Nintendo Switch 2.

A notable shift for the series is its move to the Nintendo's versatile hybrid console, while simultaneously phasing out support for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This move signifies a full embrace of the capabilities of the PS5 and Xbox Series consoles.
