A teaser image accompanying the countdown depicts a classic Verdansk scene: snow-capped mountains, pine trees, a dam, and a crashed plane—a nostalgic trip down memory lane for veteran players. This evocative imagery brings back memories of the original Verdansk map, before its replacement by Verdansk '84 and then Caldera. Currently, the only way to experience this version is through Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile.

This announcement is especially thrilling for fans who were previously told that the original Verdansk was gone for good. The return is set to be a major event for the game.
