I've been reminded that I should give more attention to Marvel games beyond Marvel Snap. While I frequently cover Marvel Snap updates, other titles often get relegated to my Monday Best Updates articles. That's a valid criticism! So, let's dedicate a Marvel Minute to exploring current events in other Marvel mobile games. Both Marvel Future Fight and Marvel Contest of Champions are currently hosting exciting events. Let's dive in!
First, Marvel Future Fight is celebrating Iron Man! Tony Stark, ever the innovator, is showcasing new suits and weaponry. This event, inspired by Invincible Iron Man, introduces new outfits for Tony and Pepper Potts. Here are the highlights from the update notes:
"Invincible Iron Man joins Marvel Future Fight!
Defeat enemies with upgraded suits!
New Uniforms: Iron Man, Rescue
New Tier-4 Advancement: War Machine, Hulkbuster
New Legend+ World Boss: The Black Order's Corvus & Proxima return!
New Custom Gear: C.T.P. of Liberation
200 Crystals Event: Link your email for 200 crystals!"
Now, let's turn to the enduringly popular fighting game, Marvel Contest of Champions. New events usually introduce playable characters, and the roster is incredibly diverse. The inclusion of less common characters, like Count Nefaria, is a welcome surprise for long-time Marvel fans. Here's a summary of the update:
"NEW CHAMPIONS
Count Nefaria: A Maggia crime syndicate leader with enhanced abilities gained through scientific experimentation. Resurrected as an ionic energy being, he's effectively immortal as long as he drains other ionic beings.
Shathra: Daughter of Oshtur and Gaea, tasked with creating the Celestial Map of Humanity. Consumed by jealousy after being surpassed by her sister, she seeks vengeance.
NEW QUESTS AND EVENTS
Event Quest – Lupus In Fabula: A mission to evict villains from The Collector's ship, facing escalating challenges.
Side Quest – Ludum Maximus: The Maestro's celebratory games hosted by Count Nefaria, featuring randomized paths and foes.
Act 9; Chapter 1 – The Reckoning: The investigation into Ouroboros's plans continues, with clues hidden in Superior Kang's holo-tapes.
Glorious Games Saga: A four-month celebration of the Contest's history, featuring a new aesthetic, champion chase, reworks, and events.
Realm Events: Global collaborative events with milestone and ranked rewards."
Both events look fantastic. If you're a lapsed player or new to these games, this is a great time to jump back in. I'm definitely checking out Count Nefaria – he's delightfully nefarious! Enjoy!
