Mask Around: The Gooey Sequel That Packs a Punch!
Remember 2020's bizarrely addictive Mask Up? Developer Rouli is back with a sequel, Mask Around, bringing even more of that unique, gooey goodness. This time, the yellow ooze returns, but with a significant twist.
While the original was primarily a 2D roguelike brawler, Mask Around adds 2D shooting mechanics. Players can seamlessly switch between gunning down enemies and using their signature goo powers to smash opponents. Resource management remains key; that precious yellow ooze is still in limited supply, making strategic use crucial, especially against bosses.
More Than Just Goo
Currently available on Google Play (with an iOS release yet to be announced), Mask Around builds upon its predecessor's foundation. It retains the core gameplay but significantly expands upon it, introducing weapons and requiring strategic use of the goo abilities. The visuals also receive a welcome polish.
The game successfully balances the challenge of managing limited resources with the satisfying action of both melee and ranged combat. It's a compelling evolution of the original formula.
