What's the Deal?

Metal Slug: Awakening is a modern reboot of the iconic 90s run-and-gun series. Originally teased in 2020 by TiMi Studios as Metal Slug Code: J, the game has seen some delays and name changes before its Southeast Asia launch in late 2023. Now, it's finally ready for a worldwide release.

For those unfamiliar, Metal Slug is a legendary Japanese run-and-gun franchise, first released in 1996 by Nazca Corporation, and since expanded into a multimedia empire. While previous mobile entries like Metal Slug Defense (2014), Metal Slug Attack (2016), and Metal Slug Commander (2020) existed, Awakening promises a significant upgrade.

This new installment stays true to the classic gameplay while boasting updated graphics and exciting new mechanics. Reunite with your favorite Metal Slug characters in brand new missions. Explore a World Adventure mode, team up with friends in 3-player co-op, and conquer challenging Roguelike levels.
