NetEase Announces the EOS of Dead by Daylight Mobile

NetEase's popular mobile horror game, Dead by Daylight Mobile, is officially shutting down. After a four-year run on Android, the game will reach its End of Service (EOS) on March 20th, 2025. This news comes as a surprise to many fans of the 4v1 asymmetrical survival horror title, a mobile adaptation of Behaviour Interactive's successful PC and console game. The PC and console versions remain unaffected and will continue operation.

Dead by Daylight Mobile offered players the thrilling experience of playing as either a Killer, hunting down Survivors, or a Survivor, desperately trying to evade capture. The game's core gameplay loop involved strategic maneuvering and tense cat-and-mouse chases.

Dead by Daylight Mobile Shutdown Timeline:

  • January 16th, 2025: The game will be removed from app stores.
  • March 20th, 2025: The game servers will officially shut down.

Players who already have the game installed can continue playing until the final shutdown date. NetEase will provide details regarding refunds on January 16th, 2025, adhering to regional legal requirements.

For those wanting to continue their Dead by Daylight experience, the PC and console versions offer a welcoming package for new players transitioning from the mobile version. Loyalty rewards will be given to players who have spent money or accumulated significant in-game experience on the mobile platform.
