Netflix Sets Squid Game Season 3 Release, Unveils New Images

Netflix has officially announced that Squid Game Season 3 will premiere on June 27, 2025. The streaming giant has released a new poster and images that offer "a tantalizing glimpse into the fate of the surviving players."

Continuing from where Season 2 concluded, the third and final season delves deeper into the choices faced by Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae) as he navigates "overwhelming despair." Meanwhile, the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) is strategizing his next move. As the deadly games progress, the surviving players' decisions lead to increasingly dire consequences, promising a season filled with suspense and drama that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

The newly unveiled launch poster depicts a pink guard dragging a bloodied contestant towards a coffin adorned with a pink ribbon. "Gone is the rainbow-hued track of Season 2’s six-legged pentathlon; in its place, a vividly swirling flower-pattern floor ominously foreshadows the cutthroat finale to come," Netflix describes. The poster also features the sinister silhouettes of Young-hee and her companion Cheol-su, hinting at even more brutal games ahead, as first suggested in the post-credit scene of the previous season.
