Onimusha: Way of the Sword introduced its protagonist, the legendary Miyamoto Musashi, whose character model is strikingly based on the likeness of iconic Japanese actor Toshiro Mifune. The trailer depicts Musashi’s thrilling battles against demons unleashed upon Kyoto, showcasing both his fierce combat prowess and surprisingly humorous attempts to evade his monstrous foes.

The game’s narrative centers on Musashi’s divinely bestowed power—the Oni Gauntlet—allowing him to vanquish demons and absorb their souls to replenish his health and unleash devastating special abilities.
