Pocketpair's Palworld, launched in January 2024, captivates players with its expansive open world and diverse Pals. The Feybreak DLC significantly expanded crafting, introducing valuable materials like Dark Fragments. These are crucial for high-level gear, making their acquisition a priority for Feybreak explorers.

How to Obtain Dark Fragments in Palworld

Dark Fragments are obtained exclusively on Feybreak Island by engaging with Dark-elemental Pals. This doesn't apply to Dark Pals in other areas. Coastal Pals are often ground or water types; venture inland to find Dark-elemental Pals. Note that some, like Starryon, are primarily nocturnal unless encountered as boss variants.

Capturing or defeating these Pals (Ultimate or Exotic Spheres recommended) yields 1-3 Dark Fragments, though drops aren't guaranteed. Efficient hunting is key to accumulating a substantial supply.

Dark Fragments, though valuable, aren't used in a vast array of recipes. They primarily craft specialized saddles, accessories for certain Pals, and enhanced boots for your character.
