The cooperative horror game *R.E.P.O.* offers a thrilling, physics-based retrieval experience for up to six players. Your mission is to navigate through various maps, locate valuables, and successfully extract them. To ensure your progress is preserved, understanding how to save your game in *R.E.P.O.* is crucial.
How To Save Your Game in R.E.P.O.
One of the most frustrating experiences for gamers is expecting to resume from their latest save only to find it missing. This issue is particularly common with new releases. Not all games feature autosave functions, and some require specific actions or reaching certain points before you can save safely. Missing the tutorial on how to save, or unclear instructions, can easily lead to lost progress.
In *R.E.P.O.*, remember that you must complete the level you're on for the game to autosave. There's no manual save option available; quitting during a retrieval mission or dying (which sends you to the Disposal Arena) will erase your save, forcing you to restart from the beginning of the level.
To save your game, you need to finish a level or location. After collecting your valuables, head to the Extraction Point, board the truck, and press the message button above your head to alert your AI boss, the Taxman, that it's time to proceed to the Service Station. At the Service Station, you can shop and then use the same button to move to the next level.

Once you've left the Service Station and arrived at your next location, it's safe to exit to the main menu or quit the game. When you or the host (if another player created the original save file) relaunch the game, you can jump back into *R.E.P.O.* as usual. It's important to note that if there's a host, they are responsible for exiting at the right time to ensure the game saves correctly. Once the host quits, other players will be logged out as well.
