This guide focuses on the Spotlight Hour, which occurs every Tuesday, featuring a different Pokémon each week. Additionally, players can efficiently evolve the event Pokémon by transferring extra ones to gain bonus candies.

Roselia Spotlight Hour Guide

The upcoming Spotlight Hour is scheduled for January 14th, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Players should prepare by stocking up on berries, Pokéballs, and incense to maximize their experience during the event. This week's spotlight is on Roselia, and participants can also benefit from a x2 Catch XP bonus, making it an excellent opportunity to level up quickly.

Roselia, a Grass and Poison-type Pokémon from the Hoenn region (Generation 3), is numbered #0315 and boasts a maximum Combat Power of 2114 CP, with 186 Attack and 131 Defense. This Pokémon evolves from Budew to Roselia with 25 Candies, and further to Roserade with 100 Candies and a Sinnoh Stone. Players will earn three candies and 100 Stardust for each Roselia caught.

Roselia can be traded within Pokémon GO and transferred to Pokémon Home. As a Grass and Poison-type, it is vulnerable to Fire, Flying, Ice, and Psychic-type attacks, taking 160% more damage from these. Conversely, it receives reduced damage from Electric, Fairy, Fighting, and Water-type attacks (63% less damage), with Grass-type attacks offering the most significant reduction at 39%. The optimal moveset for Roselia is Poison Jab and Sludge Bomb, delivering 10.96 DPS and 99.91 TDO, with performance enhanced in Cloudy Weather.

A Shiny version of Roselia is available, featuring a vibrant green body and purple and black roses. To increase the chances of encountering a Shiny Roselia, players should use incense and berries strategically during the event.
