High school: stressful for everyone, right? But at least *your* high school experience probably doesn't involve punching your way through hordes of rival students to save the day. That's the premise of the anime-styled retro brawler, School Hero!

As you might guess, School Hero is a straightforward 2D side-scrolling brawler. You play as Hero (yes, really) and must rescue your girlfriend from a rival school. Your journey will involve beating up nerds, jocks, cheerleaders—the whole shebang.

While it treads familiar ground, School Hero offers some welcome variety. Expect diverse levels and enemies—a big plus for the genre—along with a selection of minigames to offer a change of pace from the brawling.

School Hero is a fun pastiche of the beat 'em up genre, complete with stereotypical anime visuals and attacks. But that's not a bad thing! It appears to offer adaptable gameplay, an engaging storyline, and bonus features to keep you hooked.
