Celebrate 25 Years of Simming: The Sims 1 & 2 Legacy Collections Arrive!

To mark the 25th anniversary of The Sims, EA and Maxis have delivered a fantastic gift to longtime fans: The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection are now available on PC! These comprehensive collections, also bundled together in The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle for $40, bring back the iconic life simulation games with nearly all their expansions and stuff packs.

Both collections boast nearly complete add-on content. While The Sims 2: Legacy Collection is missing the 2008 IKEA Home Stuff pack, it still includes a generous helping of expansions and a bonus Grunge Revival Kit. The Sims: Legacy Collection also receives a bonus, the Throwback Fit Kit.

This marks a momentous occasion – the first time in over a decade that both The Sims and The Sims 2 have been readily accessible digitally. The Sims was originally only available on disc, making it nearly impossible to play on modern systems without resorting to archaic methods. The Sims 2 had a brief resurgence with the Ultimate Collection on Origin, but that was discontinued years ago. Now, all four main Sims titles are easily available digitally via various storefronts.

Remember our classic reviews? We gave The Sims a 9.5/10 and The Sims 2 an 8.5/10 back in the day. While the series has evolved significantly, the original games retain their charm, offering a simpler, yet surprisingly challenging and nostalgic experience. Rediscover the goofiness and legacy that started it all!

Grab your copy of The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection today on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the EA app.
