When it comes to iconic female characters in fighting games, three names instantly come to mind: Nina Williams, Chun-Li, and Mai Shiranui. Although fans have seen Nina and Chun-Li clash in Street Fighter x Tekken, we won't be witnessing their interaction in the near future. However, this isn't the case for Mai Shiranui, who is set to join Street Fighter 6 as a new guest character. It seems fitting that the developers chose to showcase Mai against none other than Chun-Li in her gameplay trailer, creating an exciting matchup for fans.
Mai's gameplay trailer highlights several of her signature moves, and her super move looks absolutely stunning. We're confident that Mai will become a fan-favorite in Street Fighter 6. However, eager fans will need to wait a bit longer, as Capcom has announced that Mai won't be available until February 5. That's three more weeks of anticipation.
While we wait, we hope the Street Fighter 6 team will keep us engaged with more exciting content. In the meantime, the anticipation for Mai Shiranui's arrival continues to build.
