Finnish game developer Supercell has made a surprising announcement: after cancelling their RPG, Clash Heroes, they're reviving the concept as Project R.I.S.E. This isn't a simple relaunch, however.
The Details on Project R.I.S.E.
Clash Heroes is officially cancelled. Following in the footsteps of Clash Mini, it's been shelved. But Supercell is giving fans a new experience. Project R.I.S.E. will be a social action RPG roguelite, set within the familiar Clash universe.
In a recent announcement video, game lead Julien Le Cadre confirmed Clash Heroes' demise but revealed Project R.I.S.E.'s multiplayer action RPG focus.

Project R.I.S.E. shares some DNA with Clash Heroes but is a completely new game. It's a social action RPG roguelite where you team up with two other players to ascend The Tower. Each floor presents a unique challenge, and the goal is to reach the highest level possible. Unlike its predecessor, the emphasis is on cooperative gameplay with diverse characters.
Currently in pre-alpha, Project R.I.S.E. is slated for its first playtest in early July 2024. Registration is open on the official website.
