T-1000 MK1 Trailer: More Terminator 2 References Unveiled

NetherRealm and WB Games have recently unveiled the official gameplay trailer for T-1000, set to make his debut in Mortal Kombat 1 next Tuesday. This character brings a unique flair to the game with his ability to transform into liquid metal, allowing him to creatively dodge projectiles. T-1000 is poised to become a fan favorite, especially among those who enjoyed playing as Kabal in previous iterations. Although Kabal isn't featured in Mortal Kombat 1, some of his iconic weapons and moves have been incorporated into the game, offering a nod to long-time fans.

The trailer also pays homage to the legendary film Terminator 2: Judgment Day, featuring a recreation of the iconic scene where T-1000 wags his finger—a gesture that's banned in the NBA as unsportsmanlike conduct. Additionally, the trailer includes a moment where T-1000 asks Johnny Cage if he has seen John Connor, further bridging the game with the film's narrative.

Alongside T-1000, the trailer introduced Madam Bo, who will be added to the game simultaneously. T-1000's Fatality showcases his liquid metal capabilities, as he changes his appearance and replaces his victim, demonstrating an efficient method for the machine to complete its mission.
