If you've been following us for a while, you're likely familiar with our parent company's event, Pocket Gamer Connects. One of the highlights of this event is our Big Indie Pitch, where we showcase innovative indie games to a panel of judges. Today, we're excited to spotlight one of the top runners-up that caught our attention: the math-battling roguelike, Talystro!

At first glance, Talystro might blend in with the crowd of deckbuilding roguelikes, a genre that's currently enjoying immense popularity. However, a closer look reveals why it stood out. In Talystro, you play as the math mouse, navigating through challenges and battling numerical monsters on your quest to overthrow the evil Necrodicer. The game uniquely combines cards and dice, requiring you to strategically use these elements to reach a target number that will defeat the monsters based on their numeric value. Just remember, you're working with a limited number of dice each turn, so choose wisely!

ytCrypt of the NecrodicerTalystro's visual style is a delightful blend of rubber hose animation and fantasy elements, reminiscent of those math-focused educational games from childhood. While the game keeps the math simple, requiring only basic arithmetic, the gameplay is both engaging and easy to pick up, making it accessible yet challenging.

Talystro is slated for release in March, and we believe its simple-to-understand yet hard-to-master gameplay, a hallmark of great deckbuilders, will captivate players upon its launch.
