Turtle Beach Cuts Ties With Disrespect

Following recent allegations surrounding his 2020 Twitch ban, Turtle Beach has severed its partnership with Dr Disrespect. The gaming accessory company had a long-standing relationship with the streamer, including a collaborative headset.

The controversy stems from claims by former Twitch employee Cody Conners alleging Dr Disrespect engaged in inappropriate conduct involving a minor via Twitch's Whispers feature. These accusations prompted several partners to re-evaluate their relationships.

Turtle Beach confirmed to IGN the termination of its partnership, ending a multi-year deal signed in 2020 and removing Dr Disrespect's merchandise from its website. This follows Midnight Society's earlier decision to cut ties with the streamer, despite initial assumptions of his innocence.

Dr Disrespect denies the allegations, stating no wrongdoing was acknowledged by Twitch and the matter was resolved in 2020. He has also announced a temporary break from streaming, citing the need for a vacation, though the duration remains unclear. The streamer continues to maintain his innocence.
