Ubisoft Remains Active on Future Driver Projects

Ubisoft Confirms More “Driver” Projects After Cancelation of Show AdaptationUbisoft has officially confirmed to Game File the cancellation of its live-action Driver television series. Initially announced in 2021 for exclusive streaming on Binge.com, the project was part of Ubisoft's broader strategy to expand its gaming franchises into other media. As Ubisoft Film & Television head Danielle Kreinik stated at the time, the goal was "to bring our games to life in new and exciting ways and create content set in the world, culture, and community of gaming."

The collaboration ended due to the closure of Hotrod Tanner LLC, a movie-related subsidiary named after the Driver protagonist, in January of this year. A Ubisoft spokesperson confirmed to Game File, "We are no longer moving forward with our partnership with Binge for a Driver series."

However, Ubisoft assures fans that development continues on other Driver projects. The company states it is "actively working on other exciting projects related to the franchise" and looks forward to future announcements. Specific details about these projects remain undisclosed, so stay tuned for further updates.
