Jingle Hells in Black Ops 6 Zombies: Weapon Upgrades, Ammo Mods, and Support
Jingle Hells, the holiday-themed mode in Black Ops 6 Zombies, introduces unique mechanics for weapon upgrades and item acquisition. Forget the Arsenal Machine; this mode relies on Aether Tools and Holiday Presents.
Weapon Upgrades:
The Arsenal Machine is absent in Jingle Hells. Instead, you'll need Aether Tools, consumable items with varying rarity tiers (color-coded). Using an Aether Tool upgrades your weapon to that rarity level (e.g., a purple Aether Tool upgrades to Legendary). Here's how to obtain them:
- Church Spire: Throw a grenade at the zombie head atop the church spire. The resulting chaos yields loot, including Aether Tools. Higher rounds increase the chance of higher-rarity drops.
- Bank Vault: Loot Keys unlock safety deposit boxes containing Aether Tools of varying rarities.
- S.A.M. Trials: Completing these trials offers a chance at Aether Tool rewards.
- Hidden Power GobbleGum: Instantly upgrades your weapon to Legendary rarity.
- Mystery Box, Wall Buys, Holiday Presents: Weapons obtained from these sources increase in rarity as the round progresses.
Ammo Mods:
Currently, only the Cryo Freeze Ammo Mod is available. It drops as a consumable item obtained primarily from:
- Holiday Presents: These random loot containers offer increasingly better rewards in later rounds. They can drop from enemy kills, the Naughty or Nice power-up, and the S.A.M. Machine. "Nice" power-ups yield multiple presents, while "Naughty" power-ups spawn numerous vermin enemies.
Equipment and Support:
The Workbench is also unavailable, eliminating Salvage-based crafting. However, equipment and support items can still be found:
- Enemy Kills: Equipment drops from regular enemies.
- Holiday Presents: Can contain equipment.
- Special/Elite Enemy Kills: Support items drop from these tougher foes.
- S.A.M. Trials: Award equipment and support.
- Bank Vault Deposit Boxes: Contain equipment and support.
In summary, Jingle Hells reimagines progression in Black Ops 6 Zombies, shifting the focus to strategic loot acquisition rather than traditional upgrade systems.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone are available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
