WoW Unveils Incentive for Past Anniversary Milestone

World of Warcraft's Detective Title Remains Accessible: A Guide to Finding Alyx and the Missing Celebration Crates

World of Warcraft players can still acquire the coveted Detective title and unlock the path to the elusive Incognitro Felcycle mount, even after the 20th-anniversary event concluded. This is thanks to the relocation of Alyx, the key NPC for the Guest Relations mystery questline.

Alyx, a Lightforged Draenei, has been moved to Dornogal, specifically to the hot springs area northwest of the Delver's Headquarters, near the Foundation Hall. Their presence ensures the continuation of the Celebration Crate hunt. While the main Guest Relations questline is unavailable, the crate collection remains accessible.

Obtaining the Detective Title:

  1. Locate Alyx: Find Alyx in Dornogal, easily identified by their "Volunteer Event Coordinator, Among Other Things" title and the clue board nearby.
  2. Gather the Crates: Examine Alyx's board for clues leading to the 11 missing Celebration Crates scattered throughout the World of Warcraft. Note: Players need to be level 10 to begin Celebration Crate quests but must reach level 68 to access Dornogal.
  3. Claim Your Rewards: Return the crates to Alyx. Six crates award the "Crate Insurance Agent" achievement, while collecting all 11 grants "No Crate Left Behind," "Azeroth's Greatest Detective," and, most importantly, the Detective title. This title unlocks the Incognitro mount questline.

Important Note: While the Detective title and associated mount remain obtainable, other achievements from the Guest Relations questline (e.g., "Assistant to the Assistant Guest Relations Manager," "I Saved the Party and All I Got Were These Lousy Hats") are now unobtainable, as they relied on event-specific locations and are no longer accessible.

The strategic relocation of Alyx ensures that players aren't locked out of acquiring the Detective title and the rare Incognitro mount. Although some anniversary content is lost, Blizzard's decision to preserve this particular questline demonstrates a commitment to player progression and the acquisition of unique rewards.
