The Open League

A social football manager simulation game

The Open League is a football (soccer) manager simulation deeply integrated with the Discord platform. Its key features include:

***Full 90-minute football matches are simulated nightly, with live play-by-play commentary streamed directly in our Discord server.

***You manage your team within a server of 30 clubs, organized into three competitive leagues. The top three teams earn promotion, while the bottom three face relegation. Each season runs for three weeks.

***In the off-season, teams attend a youth academy camp to recruit the next generation of talent. This weekend-long event requires managers to study scouting reports and bid on promising players. Many of TOL's most successful dynasties were built through shrewd youth camp investments.

***Managers can also organize friendly matches and tournaments against other human managers, often using the off-season to set up these competitions.

***Your team carries over from season to season. Players develop and decline over time, making squad management essential for long-term success.

***All player transfers are negotiated directly with other managers on Discord before being finalized in the TOL app. Skilled negotiators have a clear advantage.

***TOL uses friendly Discord bots to assist with team management. For instance, you can DM your assistant Chris to issue a press release boasting about your latest victory to all other clubs.

The Open League caters to multiple timezones, with matches currently scheduled for 7:00pm PST, EST, and GMT.
