Ace Trainer is a new Farlight Games release, in soft launch for select regions

Farlight Games, fresh off their successful 2024 collaboration with Lilith Games on AFK Journey, is launching a new title: Ace Trainer. Currently in soft launch in South Korea and the US, this game blends tower defense, pinball mechanics, and creature collection in a unique way.

Ace Trainer features the collection, training, and leveling up of fantastical creatures, reminiscent of Pokémon, but with a zombie-infested twist. Instead of traditional turn-based battles, players use their creatures in tower defense scenarios against waves of undead. Pinball elements are incorporated to acquire resources. While a global release isn't guaranteed, the multi-regional soft launch suggests Farlight has high hopes for the game.

Ambitious Scope?

Ace Trainer boasts a diverse gameplay mix: PvP, PvE, tower defense, and pinball mechanics. While this eclectic blend might appeal to some, the sheer number of features raises questions about long-term playability and balance. The game's success will depend on how well these disparate elements integrate.
