Clash of Clans is set to roll out a major update in March 2025, introducing one of the most impactful changes in the game’s history—finally delivering what players have requested for years. This update will bring significant gameplay adjustments, with some long-standing features being removed permanently.
No More Troop, Spell, or Siege Machine Training Time!
Say goodbye to waiting around. Players can now launch consecutive attacks without any cooldown, making battles faster and more action-packed than ever before. Hero recovery time is also being removed entirely, ensuring your heroes stay battle-ready and off the sidelines. This change applies to players in Titan League and below, while Legend League will continue to operate under its current eight-battle daily limit—for now.
This shift marks a broader move by Supercell to eliminate outdated mechanics from the game. Back in 2022, training costs were removed, and now with training time gone, players are free from artificial delays that hinder progress.
Phasing Out Training Potions & Treats
As part of this evolution, Training Potions and Training Treats will be phased out since they no longer serve a purpose. These items will be removed from all in-app purchase bundles, and any remaining potions or treats in player inventories will automatically convert into Gems.
Introducing the New Match Anytime System!
When real-time opponent bases are scarce, the new Match Anytime system steps in by allowing you to attack snapshot bases. These are saved versions of actual player bases currently protected by a Shield.
Snapshot battles function like regular multiplayer matches—you can earn loot and trophies—but the defending base won’t suffer any losses. While this system has been used in Clan Wars and Legend League, it’s now expanding into standard multiplayer gameplay.
Additional Gameplay Tweaks
With the increase in available battles per session, trophy rewards from victories will be slightly reduced to maintain balance. Also, Clan Castle request timers will now be standardized at 10 minutes for all players.
