Fabled Game Studio's highly anticipated sequel, Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage, is set to launch in 2025 across Android, iOS, Steam, and Epic Games. Building on the success of its 2019 predecessor, this roguelike deck-builder boasts significant enhancements. An open beta test is currently underway on Steam (October 25th-31st), with mobile releases to follow.
What's New in Pirates Outlaws 2?
This sequel introduces a fresh hero with a backstory unfolding years after the original Pirates Outlaws timeline. Players begin with pre-built decks and unique ability cards, but the innovations don't stop there.
- Companions: Introduce new strategic layers with their unique card sets.
- Card Fusion: Combine three identical cards to create more powerful versions.
- Evolution Tree: Customize deck upgrades through a branching evolution system, transforming previously discarded cards into valuable assets.
- Relic Acquisition: Relics are no longer guaranteed post-battle rewards; they're now found in markets, after boss fights, or during special events.
- Countdown Battle System: A new combat mechanic impacting enemy turn order. The "End Turn" button is replaced with "ReDraw."
- Enhanced Armor and Shield System: A revamped defensive system adds a new dimension to combat.
