Supergiant Games has unleashed The Olympic Update, its first major content drop for Hades 2. The developers plan to actively monitor player feedback to refine the update's impact. This substantial update introduces a new region, weapon, characters, animal familiars, and much more.

Currently in early access on PC (with a full release and console launch anticipated next year), Hades 2 has already earned acclaim for its replayability and substantial content. The Olympic Update significantly expands upon this foundation, adding hours of gameplay, new dialogue, and voice lines. The addition of Olympus, the mythical abode of the Greek gods, promises to escalate the narrative tension.

The update also refines existing mechanics. Several Nocturnal Arms and Abilities have been overhauled, including Witch's Staff Specials, Sister Blades, Umbral Flames, and Moonstone Axe, providing Melinoe with enhanced adaptability. Her Dash has been improved for speed and responsiveness, allowing for quicker escapes from attacks. However, these improvements are matched by increased enemy difficulty.

Mount Olympus introduces a host of new foes, including unique Wardens and a formidable Guardian. Existing Surface enemies have also undergone adjustments:
