The game features improved graphics, along with the introduction of secret stars revealed as you progress. A revamped leveling system and character upgrade mechanics add depth to the gameplay.

While core gameplay will feel instantly familiar to veterans of the original Subway Surfers, Subway Surfers City introduces new twists and obstacles to keep things interesting. The fundamental mechanics of running, jumping, and dodging remain, but the experience is enhanced.
