WB Games has unveiled an exciting update for fans of the Wizarding World: Hogwarts Legacy will officially support mods starting this Thursday. Available exclusively on PC, this highly anticipated feature is the centerpiece of a major patch rolling out on both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The update introduces the Hogwarts Legacy Creator Kit, a powerful toolkit enabling players to craft custom content such as new quests, dungeons, and character modifications. All community-created mods will be hosted and managed through the popular platform CurseForge, ensuring easy access and reliable distribution. Alongside this, a built-in mod manager will be integrated directly into the game, allowing players to browse, download, and activate mods seamlessly.
At launch, several pre-approved mods will be available, including Dungeon of Doom—a challenging new addition that tasks players with battling waves of enemies and uncovering hidden lore. However, there's one requirement to keep in mind: players must link their game account to a WB Games account to access and install mods.
In addition to mod support, the patch expands character customization with new hairstyles and outfits, offering even more ways to personalize your wizarding experience. A trailer released by the developers highlights some of the most impressive mod examples, giving players a glimpse of what’s possible.
Looking ahead, development is already underway on the sequel. Warner Bros. Discovery has confirmed that the next chapter in the Hogwarts Legacy series is among the company’s top strategic priorities for the coming years.
