InZOI's game director, Hyungjun "KJoon" Kim, has revealed intriguing details about the game's paranormal elements. Players will gain limited control over ghosts, a feature carefully integrated to avoid disrupting core gameplay. This ability is linked to a karma system, tracking player actions and impacting their lives, even after death.

A character's karma determines their afterlife fate: peaceful transition or a ghostly existence among the living. Ghosts must earn missing karma points to move on. While ghosts are present in the early access version, player control will be added later. The developer assures that InZOI's focus remains on realistic gameplay, with paranormal elements kept subtle, although future updates might introduce additional unexplained phenomena.
