In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, food poisoning is a serious threat. This guide explains how to cure it and prevent future occurrences.
Curing Food Poisoning
The only cure for food poisoning is a digestive potion. There's no waiting it out; Henry will die. You can either purchase a digestive potion from most apothecaries (those in Troskowitz, Trosky Castle, and the Nomads’ Camp are confirmed sellers) or craft your own.
To brew a digestive potion, you'll need the recipe (available from apothecaries), two thistles, two nettles, water, and one charcoal. The process is:
- Boil both thistles in water for two turns.
- Grind the nettles and add them, boiling for one turn.
- Grind the charcoal and add it.
- Pour the potion.
Note: Bozhena's hut offers a peaceful alchemy station; using others may anger shopkeepers.
Preventing Food Poisoning
To avoid food poisoning, only consume fresh food. Check the Freshness meter in your inventory; red indicates a risk. Only eat food with a white Freshness level. Consider perks that slow spoilage, or cook/dry food for longer preservation.
