Once considered an impossibility, the idea of Marvel Rivals coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 now seems within reach. Although NetEase had previously dismissed a release for the original Switch due to technical limitations, the upcoming successor could revolutionize this possibility.
At the DICE Summit, producer Weikang Wu disclosed that active discussions with Nintendo are underway. The primary challenge lies in ensuring the new hardware can deliver a smooth and consistent performance:
"The first-generation Switch simply didn’t have the power to deliver the gameplay experience we envisioned. But if the Switch 2 can handle it, we’re absolutely ready to bring the game to the platform."

With the Nintendo Switch 2 officially announced, industry leaders are showing their support. Phil Spencer has hinted at Xbox’s interest in bringing its catalog to the system, and Electronic Arts (EA) has also expressed its backing.
Meanwhile, Marvel Rivals is set for further expansion, with two members of the Fantastic Four expected to add new dynamics to the battlefield in future updates.
