Get ready to experience the chilling power of the T-1000 in Mortal Kombat 1! NetherRealm Studios has unveiled thrilling gameplay footage of this iconic Terminator 2 villain, showcasing his liquid metal abilities and brutal attacks. His moveset blends familiar Mortal Kombat combat styles with unique Terminator twists, including blade and hook arm attacks reminiscent of Baraka and Kabal. Witness the T-1000 morph into a liquid metal blob, rising from the ground with a devastating uppercut—a nod to Glacius from Killer Instinct. Robert Patrick, the original T-1000 actor, lends his voice and likeness to the character, delivering a chilling performance in a showdown with Johnny Cage. The gameplay trailer culminates in a spectacular Fatality, a recreation of the iconic Terminator 2 chase scene, where the T-1000 emerges from a truck to unleash a hail of bullets on a hapless Cage.

Adding to the excitement, NetherRealm surprised fans by announcing Madam Bo as a new DLC Kameo fighter, arriving alongside the T-1000. This fan-favorite character from Mortal Kombat 1's story mode, the resourceful restaurant owner, will be a valuable asset in battle. Quick glimpses of Madam Bo's gameplay are shown in the trailer, both pre-fight and during a T-1000 assist.

The T-1000 becomes playable in Mortal Kombat 1 on March 18th for early access (Khaos Reigns owners), with general availability on March 25th. Madam Bo joins the fight on March 18th as a free update for Khaos Reigns owners or a standalone purchase.

The T-1000 marks the final DLC character for the Khaos Reigns expansion, following Cyrax, Sektor, Noob Saibot, Ghostface, and Conan the Barbarian. While speculation continues regarding a potential third DLC pack or Kombat Pack 3, Warner Bros. Discovery's commitment to the Mortal Kombat franchise remains strong. CEO David Zaslav confirmed the company's intention to double down on four key titles, with Mortal Kombat being one of them.

Madam Bo is coming to Mortal Kombat 1 as a Kameo fighter.

Ed Boon, Mortal Kombat's creative director, previously stated that NetherRealm chose its next project three years ago but reassured fans of continued support for Mortal Kombat 1. Many anticipate the studio's next project to be a third installment in the Injustice series, although this remains unconfirmed. Boon has acknowledged various factors influencing the decision to develop another Mortal Kombat game before returning to Injustice, including the COVID-19 pandemic and the transition to a newer Unreal Engine. He has explicitly stated that the Injustice franchise is not closed off.
